When I got the crazy idea to make my own podcast I thought about all the people I already had access to be guests. Primarily the people in my ward. Mike Cole, my awesome Sunday school teacher was one of the first people that came to my mind. Don’t ask why it’s taken to episode 20 to get him on! Mike is one of the most genuine and caring people you’ll ever meet and I’m happy to introduce him to you!
Enjoy as he shares experiences from his life and Mormon mission to San Pablo, Philippines.
Elder Cole looking back one last time, with emotion, as he separates from family at the MTC. He won’t see them again for 2 years. (Elder Cole waving)
A typical home in Mindora, Philippines. It’s raised high off the ground to protect from flooding.
Elder Cole playing around with Elder Lorenzo in their mission apartment.
Mike shares a funny story about how they used McDonalds in their missionary work when times got tough. (Elder Cole on left)
Wow, what an amazingly beautiful country.
June 2001, First Baptism. The Baquilor family. You’ll hear about this special family in the episode. With Elder Nelson. (Elder Cole on far left)
A typical bridge to cross!
